Plea to Restart Migration by new Immigration Minister

New minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant services and Multicultural affairs, Andrew Giles addressed the Government and plead the newly formed Labor Government to look at their interim report which denotes and emphasizes the importance of Migration in Australia. He mentioned furthermore that, modern Australia is built on multiculturism is and it is our greatest achievement which not only brings economic but also cultural and social benefits. He states that it is about time to restart our Migration program properly.

After being announced as the Minister for Immigration, Mr Giles said, “It’s an incredible honour to take on the role of Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs in the Albanese Labor Government. There’s so much work to be done, and it’s so important to who we are, and how we rebuild. Can’t wait to get started.”

 

Mr. Giles is looking to engage with community and businesses and implement a decent immigration policy as calls for Migration has been a constant appeal from businesses all around Australia. NAB CEO Ross McEwan has called on the new government to restore migration and to reduce regulation for small businesses. He has highlighted migration, small business regulation and housing affordability as key challenges that Australia and the new Labor government need to address.
