Canberra Matrix - Latest Invitation Round



The ACT nomination program is aimed at applicants who can demonstrate economic contribution or benefit and/or a genuine commitment to be part of the ACT community as demonstrated by long term ACT residence. The ACT Matrix system is unlike the skilled Migration Points and the points are calculated based on the ACT Matrix system.

🔹 The latest Canberra Matrix Invitation Round Update:


Date of Invitation: 9 January 2020

ACT 190 nomination:

Invitations Issued: 200

Points Range of All Matrix submitted: 80 to 145 Points


ACT 491 nomination:

Invitations Issued: 75

Points Range of All Matrix submitted: 75 to 125 Points

Note: If an invitation is not issued then all the Matrix expire 6 months after the date of submission

🔹 Next Invitation Round: To be issued on 24 January 2020

🔹 Duration of Processing Time


Duration of the processing time can vary depends on different ACT nominations:


  • For Streamlined PhD nomination: on average, the processing time is 1 week.

  • For Canberra/overseas residents:  on average, the processing time is 6 weeks.

However, these numbers are subject to change if there are fluctuations in demand during a different time frames.
