ACT and Tasmania received interim Visa allocation for 2022-23 with a massive 33.3% and 81.8% year to year allocation increase for subclass 190.

As we predicted, ACT also received close to 40% year to year increased allocation for subclass 491.

In the 2021-22 FY, multiple occupations were invited with only 65 cut-off points in Canberra (ACT).

Different States have their own occupation list, to be eligible to apply for Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189), your nominated occupation needs to be in the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). However, if the occupation is in the Short-Term list, you can still be eligible to apply through State and Regional Sponsorship.
