Ease of Restriction


The Victoria Government has announced the gradual easing of restrictions from 11:59pm on Sunday 21 June 2020. In this announcement, more people will be allowed for each space and gatherings with less restrictions apply.


Restaurants, Bars, Café

  • Increased the number of patrons up to 50 seated patrons. 


Galleries, Museums and Entertainment

  • Increased the number of patrons indoor up to 50 patrons per space.



  • Private worship or small religious ceremonies up to 50 people plus people reasonably required for the ceremony. 

  • House inspections, auction houses and community facilities increase to 50 people plus people reasonably required for the facilities. 


Sport and Recreation 

  • Indoor sports centres and venues can open with up to 20 people.

  • Changing rooms and showers can open for sporting and recreational facilities.

  • Ski season to open.

  • Shared facilities at camping and tourist accommodation can open. 

  • Indoor play centres and toy libraries can open with 20 people per space.
