Melbourne Reopens As We Embrace COVID Normal

Following are the changes in effect from November 8, 2020

  • From November 8, provided cases stay under the appropriate threshold, the 25km radius will be removed.

  • The capacity of pubs and restaurants will increase up to 40 people inside and 70 outside.

  • Religious gatherings will expand to 20 people and a faith leader indoors, and 50 outdoors.

  • Gyms and indoor fitness centres will be able to reopen - with strict safety precautions in place.

  • Indoor pools will reopen for up to 20 people.

  • And accommodation will open because Andrews says Melburnians are long-overdue for a holiday.

  • The ‘Ring of Steel’ that separates Melbourne and regional Victoria will also vanish.

What rules still remain in place

  • Facemask is still mandatory

  • IF you can work from home, you must work from home
