New Restrictions for Victoria’s Hot Zones

The Victorian Government has announced a number of Victorian postcodes that will return on stage 3 restrictionsfrom 11.59pm on Wednesday 1 July 2020 in response to increasing evidence of significant community transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19) in these postcodes.

The affected postcodes and suburbs are:

Residents who live on the listed suburbs only have 4 reasons to leave home:

  • Shopping for food and supplies

  • Care and caregiving

  • Exercise

  • Study and work – if you can’t do it from home

You are not allowed to visit your friends and families in those restricted areas, if you do not live there. You can only travel into a restricted postcode for 1 of the 4 reasons listed above.

Until that time, regular police patrols, both in these zones and outside them, will make sure people are abiding by the restrictions.
