In line with Home Affairs' direction, NSW will only invite applicants who are currently residing in NSW.
NSW State Sponsor (Subclass 190) continues to focus on Health, IT, and Engineering occupations.
Although there is no minimum timeframe, you must be able to demonstrate you are genuinely residing in NSW if invited to apply.
During an invitation round, EOIs are ranked within an occupation code in order of:
1. Point score
2. English proficiency
3. Years of skilled work experience in your nominated occupation
Occupation and Employment
You must hold a valid skills assessment in an occupation that exactly matches an occupation.
You are not required to be currently, or previously, employed in NSW in your occupation to be eligible for NSW nomination.
