NSW & VIC to Shutdown in the next 48 hours
NSW and Victoria in for a 'Comprehensive Shutdown' within the next 48 hours
🔹 The Governments of New South Wales and Victoria will proceed to a comprehensive shutdown of non-essential services over the next 48 hours in an attempt to slow the spread of coronavirus.
As of now following are considered as essential services and will not be affected due to this shutdown: The non-essential services are not explicitly mentioned but Supermarkets, petrol stations, pharmacies, convenience stores, freight and logistics, banks and home delivery.
🔹 School Holidays will be brought forward to start from Tuesday (24 March 2020) for Victoria State.
🔹 The decision towards the shutdown may seem to come overnight as the final decision was due to be made on Sunday night, but considering 296 new cases of infected people on Saturday (21 March) in Victoia only, led the NSW and Victorian Government to make this drastic decision.
Further changes could be made if the outbreak keeps continuing to grow at this vast pace. Stay tuned on our page for the latest updates.
