Tasmania Graduate Stream 

   (Subclass 190)

  • Live and Study in Tasmania 2 years

  • Must study minimum Diploma level OR, Aged Care & Disability (Cert III) OR, Technical/Trade Course (Cert III) for at least 92 weeks

    (Subclass 491)

  • Live and Study in Tasmania 1 year

  • Must study minimum Diploma level OR, Aged Care & Disability (Cert III) OR, Technical/Trade Course (Cert III) for at least 40 weeks

Tasmania Work Stream​

Tasmania Skilled Employment

For subclass 491, required work duration is 3 months if you have a positive skills assessment AND, currently working in an occupation listed in TOSOL (Tasmanian Onshore Skilled Occupation List). However, if you do not have these, you need to have at least 6 months of work experience.

Subclass 190

TOSOL Pathway 190 ​

  • Must be currently residing in Tasmania

  • Occupation and Employment must be on  Tasmania Onshore Skilled Occupation List (TOSOL)

  • Must have work in Tasmania for 6 months prior visa lodgment (Subclass 190) for an average 20 hours/week

  • Have related skills assessment and at least 12 months business activity in Tasmania

Long-Term Employment Pathway

  • Must be currently residing in Tasmania

  • All occupations eligible for this pathway, for Tasmania Onshore Skilled Occupation List (TOSOL) - needs to meet caveat

  • Must have work in Tasmania for 15 months prior visa lodgment (Subclass 190) for an average 20 hours/week

  •  Have related skills assessment and at least 15 months business activity in Tasmania

Subclass 491

  • Must be currently residing in Tasmania

  • Occupation must be on Tasmania Onshore Skilled Occupation List (TOSOL) but not all occupations must have relevant Skills Assessment

  • ANZCO Level 1-3 Occupation, must be working for 3 months prior to visa lodgement OR,

  • Must be working in Tasmania for 6 months prior to visa lodgement (Subclass 491) for work with non-related field

  • Must have work for an average 20 hours/week with a minimum 12-month contract for at least three month prior to visa lodgement

  • ANZCO Level 1-3 Occupation, have related skills assessment with 12-months business activity in Tasmania
