Labour Agreement Company List Australia 2026
Last updated: 27 July 2026 · RACC Migration & Education Services
As of July 2026, 5,771 current Labour Agreements are held by 5,492 companies across Australia. This covers Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMA), industry agreements, and company-specific agreements published by the Department of Home Affairs. Each agreement lets an approved employer sponsor overseas workers on the Skills in Demand (subclass 482) Labour Agreement stream, Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (subclass 494) Labour Agreement stream, or Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) visa, outside the standard occupation lists.
Use the searchable directory below to check whether a specific company holds a current Labour Agreement, which type it is, and when it expires.
Key takeaways
-
5,771 Labour Agreements are currently active in Australia, held by 5,492 companies (some companies hold more than one).
-
The Northern Territory DAMA is the largest single category, with 758 companies, followed by Far North Queensland DAMA (516) and South Australia Regional DAMA (504).
-
Industry Labour Agreements cover 10 sectors: aged care, dairy, horticulture, meat, pork, fishing, on-hire, premium dining, advertising, and minister of religion.
-
Being on this list does not mean a company is currently hiring or has committed to sponsor anyone — it confirms the company holds an active agreement with the Department.
-
This list is different from RACC's Accredited Sponsor List, which covers a separate, higher-compliance sponsorship tier for standard 482/494/186 nominations.
What Is a Labour Agreement Company List?
A Labour Agreement company list is a directory of Australian employers that have negotiated a formal agreement with the Department of Home Affairs to sponsor overseas workers in occupations or on terms that standard visa programs do not cover. The Department maintains the master version of this list and updates it periodically.
A Labour Agreement runs for up to five years and sets out the occupations, worker numbers, and any concessions (age, salary, English language, or work experience) an employer can use. Employers still nominate individual workers through ImmiAccount and must meet the terms of their specific agreement. See RACC's guide on how Labour Agreements work and how employers get approved for the full application process.
What This List Shows
This directory reflects the Department of Home Affairs' List of Current Labour Agreements, cross-checked against the Department's own published dataset. Each entry includes:
-
Company name — the legal or trading name on the agreement
-
Labour Agreement type — DAMA, industry, company-specific, project, Global Talent Scheme, or Skilled Refugee Labour Agreement Pilot
-
Start date — when the current agreement began
-
End date — when the current agreement expires
Three things to keep in mind before you rely on this list:
-
The Department's own list is not exhaustive. Some sponsors' details stay unpublished where publishing them would expose commercially sensitive information or, in rare cases, national security information. A company can hold a valid Labour Agreement and still not appear here.
-
The list is alphabetical, not a ranking. The Department states explicitly that appearing on the list does not mean a company is a preferred or recommended provider — it is simply a record of who holds an agreement.
-
An agreement is not a job offer. A company with an active Labour Agreement has the legal ability to sponsor workers in specific occupations under that agreement. It does not mean the company has current vacancies or is actively recruiting from overseas.

How to Use This List If You're Looking for a Sponsor
Finding a company on this list is a starting point, not a job offer. Confirm three things before you apply:
Check the Labour Agreement type against your occupation.
A DAMA agreement covers occupations specific to that region. An industry agreement only covers roles within that industry. Your occupation needs to sit inside the scope of the agreement the company holds.
Check whether the company is actively recruiting.
Search the company's own careers page or contact them directly. An active Labour Agreement means the company can sponsor — it does not confirm they have a current vacancy.
Check the agreement's expiry date.
An agreement nearing its end date may not be renewed, or may renew under different terms. A company with an agreement expiring within a few months carries more uncertainty than one with two or three years remaining.
A registered migration agent can also confirm whether your occupation, skills assessment, and salary meet the specific concessions in a company's agreement, since these vary by region and industry rather than following one fixed national standard.
How to Use This List If You're an Employer
If your business cannot find suitably skilled Australian workers and your occupation sits outside the standard skilled occupation lists, a Labour Agreement may be the right pathway. Three routes apply, depending on your circumstances:
-
A DAMA suits businesses operating within one of the 13 designated regions. You need endorsement from the region's Designated Area Representative before lodging your labour agreement request in ImmiAccount.
-
An industry agreement suits businesses in one of the 10 sectors already covered by a fixed-terms template — aged care, dairy, horticulture, meat, pork, fishing, on-hire, premium dining, advertising, or minister of religion.
-
A company-specific agreement suits businesses with a genuine skills need that neither a DAMA nor an industry agreement covers, supported by evidence of recruitment efforts and workforce planning.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many companies currently have a Labour Agreement in Australia?
As of July 2026, 5,771 current Labour Agreements are held by 5,492 companies. Some companies hold more than one agreement — for example, a national employer operating across several DAMA regions.
Does being on this list mean a company is hiring overseas workers right now?
No. The list confirms a company holds an active Labour Agreement and can legally sponsor workers in specific occupations under that agreement. It does not confirm the company has a current vacancy or is actively recruiting. Contact the company directly to check.
Is this the same list as RACC's Accredited Sponsor List?
No. The Accredited Sponsor List covers a separate, higher-compliance sponsorship tier that some employers hold for standard 482, 494, and 186 nominations. A Labour Agreement is a different pathway entirely, used when an occupation or condition falls outside standard visa settings. A company can appear on one list, both, or neither.
How often does the Department update the Labour Agreement list?
The Department of Home Affairs updates its published List of Current Labour Agreements periodically, generally every few months. This page reflects RACC's July 2026 review of that data. Check the Department's own list directly for the most current version at any given time.
What's the difference between a DAMA and an industry Labour Agreement?
A DAMA is negotiated between the Department and a regional authority, covering any eligible employer operating in that designated area. An industry Labour Agreement is negotiated for one sector nationally, with fixed terms that apply to any qualifying employer in that industry, regardless of location.
Can I apply directly to a company on this list for sponsorship?
Yes, in the same way you would apply for any job — most companies on this list still recruit through standard channels. Holding a Labour Agreement means the company has the legal pathway to sponsor you if you're offered the role and meet the visa requirements; it is not an alternative application process.
