Full Allocations Announced for Tasmania 2025-26 Migration Program

The Tasmania State and Regional Nomination 2025-26 program has now received its full nomination allocation for the program year. This update is important for applicants considering the 190 State Sponsored Visa and the 491 State Sponsored Regional Visa pathways to Australian permanent residency.

2025-26 Nomination Allocation Details

Tasmania’s confirmed allocation for the 2025-26 migration year includes:

• 1200 nomination places for the subclass 190 State Sponsored Visa

• 650 nomination places for the subclass 491 State Sponsored Regional Visa

These numbers include both interim and full allocations for the current program year.

Weekly Invitation Rounds Commenced

Migration Tasmania has now started sending weekly invitations to eligible candidates who have submitted a Registration of Interest (ROI). Each week, Migration Tasmania will publish key program data, including:

• Total number of ROIs invited to apply for nomination

• Lowest points or priority categories invited in the round

• Remaining nomination places available

• Number of ROIs currently on hand and awaiting consideration

This transparency allows applicants to better understand their competitiveness and potential timelines.

How Applicants Can Prepare

To improve your chances of receiving an invitation, applicants should:

• Ensure their ROI is complete and up to date

• Maintain accurate points claims

• Align experience and qualifications with Tasmania’s workforce needs

• Monitor weekly updates for changing priority sectors or invitation trends

Applicants at higher skill levels or in occupations demonstrating critical shortages may be prioritised.
