The Registration Standard: General Registration for Internationally Qualified Registered Nurses (IQRN) introduces two new pathways for eligible IQRNs to register in Australia.

Eligibility applies to nurses from NMBA-approved comparable jurisdictions—United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), Singapore, and Spain—who have completed at least 1,800 hours of practice.
This initiative follows recommendations from the Final Report of the Independent Review of Australia’s Regulatory Settings Relating to Overseas Health Practitioners.
