RACC AUSTRALIA

Visa Management & Workforce Solutions

Helping Australian Employers Sponsor, Manage, and Retain Overseas Talent

4.8/5 Customer Service Satisfaction

RACC's Workforce Solutions is an end-to-end employer sponsorship and retention service, covering visa management, strategic HR planning, and industry-specific compliance for Australian businesses sponsoring overseas talent.

What Staff Turnover Actually Costs Australian Businesses

Replacing a departing employee in Australia typically costs 50% to 150% of their annual salary in recruitment, onboarding, and lost productivity, according to standard Australian workforce benchmarks compiled by RosterElf.

Furthermore, human capital data compiled by Bersin by Deloitte estimates the total replacement cost for a skilled role at 1.5 to 2 times the annual salary line. When traditional recruitment agencies add a further 15% to 25% of first-year salary as an upfront placement fee, the financial strain on your organization compounds.

The pattern holds across sectors: finding talent and keeping it are two entirely different problems. RACC manages this lifecycle end-to-end so your business isn't left coordinating separate providers for talent, visas, compliance, and retention.

Our Solution - Four Integrated Service Pillars

Precision Talent Sourcing

Access RACC's global pool of "visa-ready" professionals. We verify qualifications and professional experience against rigorous Australian standards before a candidate ever reaches your desk.

The Path to Retention

By creating clear pathways from temporary work to Permanent Residency (PR), we help you transition high-performing staff into permanent pillars of your organisation, protecting the training investment you've already made in them.

Seamless Sponsorship & Visa Processing

Our Registered Migration Agents handle the Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS), nominations, and priority visa streams (407, 482, 186, 494) to get your staff on-site as quickly as possible.

Proactive Visa Maintenance & Renewals

We eliminate the risk of talent loss due to visa expiries. RACC provides an automated "Follow-Up" concierge service that manages all visa renewals and compliance checks, so nothing lapses without warning.

How It Works - End-to-End In-House Management

1

Become an Approved Sponsor

Your business first needs Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS), or the sponsorship pathway relevant to your industry and arrangement—including specialised labour agreements for certain sectors. RACC assesses which pathway applies before you begin.

2

Nominate the Role

Once approved as a sponsor, your business nominates the specific position. RACC leverages priority healthcare and skilled streams to get nominations approved in as little as 30 to 60 days where eligible.

3

Visa Application

The nominated candidate lodges their visa application against the relevant subclass—407, 482, 186, or 494—meeting skill, language, health, and character requirements. RACC manages the application through to grant.

Traditional Hiring vs. The RACC Milestone Model

Assessed over a three-year period per roster line, the financial case for structured international sponsorship differs sharply from traditional domestic recruitment.

Traditional Market Hiring, Over Three Years

Upfront Cost

Recruitment and placement costs are typically paid entirely upfront, combining job advertising expenses with agency permanent-placement fees based on the candidate’s annual salary.

Internal Workload

Businesses carry a high internal workload sourcing external immigration lawyers and managing corporate sponsorship compliance themselves.

Compliance Risk

Sponsorship compliance risk stays variable, with a high risk of nomination or renewal gaps from sudden resignations.

3-Year Replacement Cost

Where turnover runs at industry-typical rates, a single role can cycle through two to three hires over three years, and Australian benchmarks place the cumulative cost of that churn at 50% to 150% of the role's annual salary per departure.

The RACC Milestone Model, Over Three Years

Upfront Cost

RACC’s Milestone Model keeps professional service fees fixed per candidate and distributes them across progress milestones rather than requiring full payment upfront.

Internal Workload

Government disbursements — sponsor fee, nomination fee, and the SAF Levy — are billed separately at cost with zero markups, and RACC manages the full sponsorship lifecycle in-house.

Compliance Risk

Locked-in roster continuity protects your ongoing sponsorship compliance obligations and reduces audit risk.

3-Year Replacement Cost

Because candidates are legally bound to the sponsoring employer for 2 to 4 years, replacement costs over the same three-year period drop to $0.

Which Employer Sponsored Visa Is Right for Your Business?

Subclass 407 — Training Visa

Designed for structured workplace-based training to help participants develop occupational skills or professional expertise. Employers or organisations must be approved sponsors, and the training must meet an eligible occupational or professional development pathway.

Subclass 482 — Skills in Demand Visa

RACC's most common entry point for employer sponsorship, requiring sponsored workers to be paid at or above the applicable income threshold. Priority streams can bring approval down to 30–60 days where eligible.

Subclass 186 — Employer Nomination Scheme

RACC's primary employer-sponsored permanent residency pathway, allowing high-performing sponsored staff to transition from temporary status into permanent pillars of your organisation.

Subclass 494 — Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional

Available to businesses in designated regional areas, forming part of RACC's broader priority processing pathways alongside the 482 and 186.

Our B2B Service Suite

RACC's service suite is organised around three areas of support, backed by specialised internal units.

Employer-Sponsored Visa Management

End-to-end setup and compliance management for Standard Business Sponsorship, priority processing across 407, 482, 186 and 494 streams, and specialised labour agreement pathways available to eligible sectors.

Strategic HR & Workforce Planning

RACC acts as an extension of your HR department: candidate introduction from our vetted "visa-ready" pool, periodic audits against Australian Market Salary Rate (AMSR) and TSMIT requirements, and retention strategies that move staff from temporary visas to Permanent Residency to eliminate churn.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is employer sponsorship in Australia?

Employer sponsorship allows an approved Australian business to hire a skilled overseas worker through a genuine job offer. RACC's Registered Migration Agents manage the entire journey across the 407, 482, 186, and 494 visa streams so your business secures the skills it needs without the administrative headache.

What is a Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS)?

Standard Business Sponsorship is the approval a business must hold before nominating any overseas worker. RACC provides end-to-end SBS setup and compliance management as part of our Employer-Sponsored Visa Management service.

What is the TSMIT and how does it affect my business?

The Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) is the minimum salary a sponsored worker must be paid. From 1 July 2026, the TSMIT is AUD 79,423 per year. Employers must pay this threshold or the Australian Market Salary Rate for the role, whichever is higher — RACC's compliance audits check your sponsorships against both.

What is the SAF Levy?

The Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) Levy is a mandatory government fee paid by the sponsoring employer at the nomination stage, calculated by business turnover. RACC bills this at cost with zero markups as part of our transparent, fixed-cost pricing.

What is Labour Market Testing (LMT)?

Labour Market Testing is the process of demonstrating that no suitably qualified Australian was available for a role before sponsoring an overseas worker. It requires advertising the position for a minimum of 28 consecutive days across at least three platforms, including the government's Workforce Australia portal, with the job title, duties, and salary matching the nomination exactly. RACC manages this process in-house so your internal HR team carries no compliance risk from a technical LMT error.

Can a sponsored worker become a permanent resident?

Yes. RACC builds Permanent Residency pathways into every employer sponsorship engagement from the outset, moving high-performing staff from temporary visas to PR through our Path to Retention pillar, so your training investment in that employee is protected long-term.

What ongoing obligations does my business have once a worker is sponsored?

Sponsoring employers must maintain compliance with AMSR and TSMIT requirements throughout the visa. RACC's periodic Audit & Compliance service reviews your sponsored employees on an ongoing basis, and our automated Follow-Up concierge tracks renewals proactively so nothing lapses unnoticed.
