Migration Pathways for Offshore Applicants 

Overseas applicants now can apply for state nomination and Migration to different states in Australia. You can directly lodge your application from overseas. Following Australian states are currently open for application for offshore applicants:

• New South Wales

• South Australia

• Canberra

New South Wales

​Eligibility for Offshore Applicants

You must:​

• have continuously resided offshore for the past 3 months, and

• have a valid skills assessment for an occupation within an ANZSCO unit group that accepts offshore candidates.

• You now must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in your nominated (or closely related) occupation for some occupations within some ANZSCO unit groups. ​

South Australia

Eligibility for Offshore Applicants

You must:​

• have at least 8 years work experience in the nominated or closely related occupation

• You must demonstrate a Superior English level (IELTS 8 on each day PTE 79 on each band) 

• You must score at least 85 points for the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) , which means you require only 70 points without the points from the State.

Canberra (ACT) 

Eligibility for Offshore Applicants

ACT (Canberra) Migration is now open for overseas applicants

If you are living overseas and you want to apply for ACT nomination for a Skilled Regional Work Visa (subclass 491) and Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190), you must meet certain criteria at the date you submit the Canberra Matrix.
