Pig Farmer (ANZSCO 121318) is on Australia's Core Skills Occupation List. That means an approved employer can sponsor you on the Skills in Demand (subclass 482) visa and later nominate you for permanent residence through the Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186).

A second route runs through the Pork Industry Labour Agreement, which covers the occupation of Senior Stockperson (Piggery). A third runs through the regional subclass 494 to the subclass 191.

This page covers every PR pathway open to pig farmers and pork industry workers.

Key takeaways

  • Agriculture occupations sit in Priority 1 for visa processing under Ministerial Directions 121 and 122.

  • Skills assessment is through VETASSESS.
