VETASSESS, the leading skills assessment body in Australia, has announced a fee increase for skills assessments for professional and general occupations. This change, effective from 22 October 2025, ensures that the fees are aligned with the Consumer Price Index (CPI). This adjustment will affect all new applications submitted after the given date.
Key Details of the VETASSESS Fee Increase
VETASSESS skills assessments are required for many skilled migration visas, and this fee increase will apply to the following:
Affected Occupations:
Professional and general occupations, including those under DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) and Industry Labour Agreements (ILA).
Trade occupations are not affected by this fee change.
New Fees:
Complete skills assessment (general/professional): $1,070 → $1,076
Subclass 485 skills assessment: $832 → $852
This fee adjustment aims to maintain consistency with national CPI movements and will apply to all new applications submitted from 22 October 2025 onwards.
